The sun was shining in Milan this weekend ensuring even the most jaded of fashion folk had a smile on their faces for the jam-packed schedule of shows.

In less than 48 hours we managed to squeeze in over 20 shows and just as many presentations (and, quite possibly, glasses of Prosecco). Read on for the highlights...

Star spots: Janet Jackson at , Mary J Blige at and Brit It-girls Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and Peaches Geldof at . WATCH the Versace and Gucci shows below:

Trend alert: Decontructed tailoring, as seen at Jil Sander, and . If it's got a perfect hem, it won't see the light of day next season

Refreshment of choice: Diet Coke bottles covered in Missoni, Moschino and Etro prints

Pretty stunning: We loved the delicate, sheer dresses at and the ethereal ostrich shrugs

Finale with a flourish:

More weekend highlights: Watch the Moschino and Roberto Cavalli shows below:

Miu Miu A/W 2008

Neoprene wetsuits might not sound like the most stylish of starting points for a show, but Miuccia Prada is nothing if not adventurous. Her latest collection for was uncompromising in its sports-led theme, but not impenetrable because of it – and we loved the peek-a-boo knee-length dresses.

Diane Kruger

When Miu Miu throws a party, it's guaranteed there will be no shortage of super-chic looks on parade, and its latest soiree did not disappoint. A clutch of Hollywood's most stylish faces attended a screening of the fashion house's new short film, Muta, in Los Angeles.

Diane Kruger scored the latest in a long line of impeccable sartorial moments in a midi-length black dress with sequin floral detailing, naturally by Miu Miu. Does this girl ever have an off day?

Fashionistas round the world will breathe a sigh of relief this morning, as after weeks of back-to-back shows, the month of international fashion weeks is finally over.

But that doesn't mean that proceedings wound down for the final day in Paris. Instead some of the industry's biggest houses – , and – ensured the fashion pack remained in the French capital right until the bitter end.

At , Miuccia Prada seduced the fashion pack, not only with her feminine, elegant designs, but with a soundtrack of femme fatale dialogue, plucked from Seventies films.

Divided into distinct sections, the show opened with a collection of coats, fashioned into short dresses, before moving onto sleek, slim dresses and skirts.

Meanwhile, at , the Brit designer may have stuck largely to the lithe silhouette for which he is famed, but there was plenty to keep his legions of fans happy.

Fitted skirts, smart jackets, tunics and those signature figure-hugging dresses all featured that magic Mouret touch, while strategic origami folds and sharp cuts transformed simple separates into statement pieces.

After starting the season in New York with his two eponymous labels, Marc Jacobs ended it in Paris at the helm of . And he obviously started as he meant to go on, as like his mainline show, Vuitton marched to a distinct Eighties beat.

Balloon puff shoulders, bubble skirts, leggings and peplum jackets reigned supreme, while naturally for a luxury leather label, accessories were in abundance, from the season's favoured thigh-high boots, to gilded monochrome bags, layers of leather necklaces and bags.

And it wasn't only the fashion industry who stuck around to see it all, the slew of A-listers continued right up until the final shows, with going high fashion, and taking her front row seat at Vuitton, while at Miu Miu, Hollywood faces Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba sparked a flashbulb frenzy.

It has been revealed that Miuccia Prada, renowned fashion designer and President of Fondazione Prada, will announce the winner of the Turner Prize 2010 during a live broadcast of the award ceremony on 6th December.

In 2005, Miuccia was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world ‘for having provoked and influenced colleagues for years with her eccentric and highly personal sensibility.’

The prestigious , established in 1984, is presented annually to a British artist under the age of fifty for an outstanding exhibition of their work.

Intended to promote public discussion of new developments in contemporary British art, the Turner Prize is widely recognised as one of the most esteemed awards for the visual arts in Europe.

The 2010 exhibition features work by the four short-listed artists, who include Dexter Dalwood, Angela de la Cruz, Susan Philipsz and The Otolith Group and is open to the public at the Tate Britain until 3rd January 2011.

The winner will be chosen by a jury including Isabel Carlos (Director of Centre of Modern Art) Philip Hensher (Writer, critic and journalist) Andrew Nairne (Executive Director at Arts Council England) Polly Staple (Director of Chisenhale Gallery) and Penelope Curtis (Director of Tate Britain).

This year’s prize fund is £40,000, with £25,000 going to the winner and £5,000 to each of the three short-listed artists.

Come and see the exhibition for yourself at the , open daily from 10am until 5.30pm and until 10pm on the first Friday of every month.

Tickets are £8 (or £6 concessions) and can be purchased by visiting or by calling 020 7887 8888.

It’s great to hear ’s search for a soulmate hasn’t slowed down – she’s now reportedly dating the lighting technician from her latest movie.
