В связи с данным вопросам интересным представляются отношения с жителями Каянова моря, с которыми то воевали, то вместе выступали против тех, кого считают классическими викингами. Источники знают все. Многие истории пересочинились в послепетровскую эпоху (за редким исключением) не имееют под собой репрезентативной источниковой базы. Однако, есть все основания полагать, что православие пришло на северные берега Ладоги через Старую Ладогу и Кякисалми или Новгород. Непонятно почему в официальной литературе христианство считается подарком русских карелам, а не даром финно-угров финно-уграм и почему добровольное принятие христианства считают чуть ли не чудом? За успехом православия с таким же успехом могли лежать и экономические рычаги, но это голословно, поскольку источники не подтверждают и такой версии.

Христиааанство... если бы не оно самое, сейчас хотя бы родовые дома целые стояли, а не с сорванными наличниками и наплевательским отношением к письмам что писали на домах предки. Гуляешь по деревне, увидишь ненароком на маленьких балкончиках последний коловорот, залюбуешься, а так плакать хочется.. Хорошо, что в школах язык преподают, а то скоро люди совсем забудут свою культуру, кто они такие и зачем пришли..
